Aigaleo to face winner of Fulham v Haka matchup

Posted: July 02, 2002 at 04:40 AM EST (09:40 AM GMT)

Aigaleo are anxiously awaiting their opponent for the third phase of the Intertoto Cup. With the completion of the first round, it is definite that Aigaleo will face the winner of the encounter between Fulham (England) and Haka (Finland). The matches between the two sides will be held on the 6th or 7th July 2002 (first leg) and 13th or 14 July 2002 (second leg).

Aigaleo's first match for the cup will be held on July 20th or 21st - away - with the return match being played in Leoforos Alexandras Stadium one week later.

The third phase is followed by the semifinals, on 31 July 2002 and 7 August 2002, and the finals, which will determine the three teams that will play in the UEFA Cup for next year, on 13 August 2002 and 27 August 2002.

As far as playing matters go, Aigaleo's squad are in Elatochori as of 30 June 2002, where they will hold the basic part of their training. "City's" coach, Giorgos Chatzaras, has programmed daily double training sessions for his players. The Greek coach appears satisfied, so far, from the transfers his teams has made while the matter of yet another transfer remains open.
