Posted: March 14, 2010 at 15:42 PM EST (20:42 PM GMT) ATHENS, Greece -- President Karolos Papoulias was sworn-in on Friday (March 12th) for a second term during an inauguration ceremony in parliament attended by Prime Minister George Papandreou and all 300 lawmakers. Papoulias, 81, vowed to protect the constitution and the laws of the country, its independence and integrity, and to work for the well-being and interests of all Greeks. Acknowledging the severe financial crisis, he said, "There is a long road ahead and a heavy task, but I hope that the Greek people will be able to look at that bravely."
